Oncor Transition

On November 9, 2017, Sharyland Utilities, L.P. (Sharyland) and Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) successfully closed their proposed transaction to exchange Sharyland's retail distribution operations for a set of Oncor's transmission lines in West and Central Texas. As a result, all of Sharyland's approximately 54,000 retail distribution customers will now be served by Oncor. The process to transition these customers has begun and should be completed by early 2018.

Transition Timeline

November 2017 Transaction closes on November 9. Oncor prepares their system for customer transition.
December 2017 Transition begins on December 11. Customers will be transitioned in groups daily based upon their monthly scheduled meter reading date occurring between December 11 and January 9. The bill based on the meter reading during this time frame will be the final electric bill calculated with Sharyland rates.
January 2018 All customers should be transitioned by January 9. Approximately 30 days after the customers actual transition date, customers will receive their first electric bill calculated with new lower Oncor rates.

During the transition, former Sharyland customers should continue to call Sharyland's outage number at 800-545-4513, which will be answered by Oncor after November 9.
